As the amount of recycling has grown over the years, so has the amount of contamination. Please use this handy guide as a reminder of the do’s and don’ts of what can be placed in your single stream recycling cart.

Waste Collection Schedule
Waste Collection – Weekly
Wednesday is our weekly pickup day. All waste containers must be placed at the curb no later than 6 a.m. Please leave 4 feet of space between the carts, trees, mailboxes, poles, etc.
Recycling Collection – Every Other Week
Recycling is collected every other week on Wednesday. Please place all clean recyclables loosely in the 64
gallon cart and place at the curb no later than 6 a.m. Do NOT put any plastic bags in the recycle cart.
If a holiday falls on Wednesday, your trash and recycling will be picked up on Thursday.
You may place bulk items out for pickup on your regular trash collection day. This includes furniture,
mattresses, and other large household items. No tanks, tires, drums, automobile parts, riding mowers, or any item that contains fuel or fluids.
NOTE: Items containing Freon or CFC gas can be scheduled for separate pickup. Call Waste Management for more information at 1-800-869-5566.
Leaf waste will be collected at the curb on the following Wednesdays: October 14 and 28, November 11 and 25, and December 9, 2020. Leaf waste should be placed in either a brown compostable bag or loosely in a container that can be emptied. NO grass clippings, wood debris, or plastic bags are allowed.
Do Not Dispose of List
Electronics are not excepted!
Under PA state law, Waste Management WILL NOT collect ANY TV, cell phones, computer, printer, monitors, or electronic devices. These items must be recycled. Refer to the Montgomery County Recycling website for options.
Household hazardous wastes are not accepted!
Toxic chemicals, pesticides, oil-based paints, weed killers, automotive batteries, fuels, or fluids must be
disposed of properly at a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event. Refer to the Montgomery County
Recycling website for options.
